Was meant to start this in like January when Che got these as an option but I have forgotten completely about it so as I am sitting here tonight I figure I may as well start. I do find it amusing that were nearly finished the 4th month in the year (1/3 of the way through) and I don't remember it all passing me by.

Anyway, let’s see all in my life at the moment is very hectic. I never seem 2 have time just 2 sit and rest. You will understand this better in future posts. Today was a public holiday here in Australia so it was nice 2 catch up with some things. Went to see my dad and we spent a few hours working on my motor bike. It's a Yamaha DT 175 Enduro so if anyone has parts or a manual id be grateful. Had a friend’s 18th at lunch time to go to but lost track of time while working so I’d better go see her during the week. Then spent the afternoon doing some verifying and working on my car.

It's a Honda Prelude 89 model and I love it 2 pieces. Realised I got a list of like 16 jobs i want to do on it. I know what you’re thinking it’s not a shit box. Little things like fork out $700 for customised plates and respray the wiper arms and replace the back wiper rubber. Little things. Matty my mate came round and installed my new front neon which the council should have paid for due to putting in speed humps that are more like f***ing stairs and not signposting but hey, now my boot has the spare neon and broken neon in it and it looks BOSS. Also i got my car airborne twice so all in all good fun.

Spent the rest of the afternoon installing the new crystal glow head lights and polishing under the hood. Starting to look pretty damn good. Then Matty (Other mate Matty - the police officer one) came round and we ran the beep test. If you don't know what it is basically Mark out 20m and run back and forward getting slowly faster each time 2 a recording that keeps you up to speed. I made 10.1 again and Matty did 2 this time

After that DRINK TIME. Finally after he left went 2 see one of the girls she was quite excited to see me (Her pyjamas we very hot ) and I spent a few good hours there

Came home and its time for bed. So that was my day. A few interesting developments. Matty (the sparky) has got his girl pregnant well they do it like rabbits so I’m not surprised. OMG imagine the kid another half human half ape!!! Matty (the policeman) is having trouble with his girl so this will be interesting.

Don't want to go to work tomorrow I just know someone is going to have a cry about something not done on Tuesday and I work hard for a shit pay. Really want to get started with this new job. More flexible hours so I can get more things done and heaps better pay. I don't want to sound like a money hungry git. I love to splash it around on my friends and have fun but this current pay is pathetic.

Any hoo I’m off to bed. Will add more tomorrow

Later

** In Memory and respect to all the ANZAC day heroes - remembered or forgotten, hero or helper you all did you piece***
REMEMBER Guns don't kill people.... BULLETS DO!!! Bullets kill when made to by another person!!! What kills people again? I'm confused!

Che Guevara's Blog - Year 2006 Resuts

Been a really long time since I wrote anything and then the blog was b0rked... Bear with me I was writing this yesterday at 3 am

I just want to write a post on last year and the new year. What has happened and what might happen.

TVU stuff first. Well it's been a busy year for TVU, with lots of events, I can't remember much right now, but here's what comes up...
We celebrated our first birthday with the launch of TVU 2.0, both my pride and embarrassment. Frames, frames, frames... I thought it was a good idea – i thought it would save band witch and increase usability. I was wrong and there was no one to stop me... Not that I blame anybody but myself, web design is not sL's field and Prower was just doing what I told him. What can I say, shit happens, frames were removed and I think I really can say that the rest of the complaints were really just people that don't like change and haven't gotten used to it yet. Peculiar detail is that no one of the power submitters and posters have ever complained or stopped submitting. That means to me we are on the right track. Sorry, but you can't make everyone happy. Some people said, that all we have to do is list links. But TVU is not some MoTV, we were made to continue TRW, which had more features then we even have now... But enough about TVU 2.0 – its been discussed plenty already.

Our designer, coder and head verifier – Prower quit. I believe our constant disagreements were one of the reasons – we are completely different people. In any case thanks for your great work on TVU 2.0. I could've never done it without you.

First half (and probably more) of this year was a period of constant problems with accessing TVU. In a lot of cases this was my fault, before TVU my server administrator skills were not top and I have a thing for constantly wanting to fix things that are not broken Another problem was “growing pains”. TVU's audience keeps on increasing + UT takes a big amount of resources, due to the tracker being in PHP (C/C++ would be best choice) and not exactly optimized. Though since the launch of TVU 2.0 I can really say TVU has been very stable – with only a couple of short downtimes. And our 2 dual-core processors make sure that everything runs at acceptable speed. We have also moved from Malaysia to Netherlands to make sure our European and American users load the page fast – Asian cables totally suck... Current server uptime is about 40 days, I am really proud of myself And finally this server runs Gentoo – my distro of choice, another reason everything has been pretty stable. Allow me to make a little side note here: European vs Asian customer service, I know I am just comparing 2 companies and this is gonna be generalising a bit, but I have a feeling it goes for all other companies. In Asia everything was free – reboots, help in configuration, root password reset; customer service worked 24 hours a day... Completely different story in Netherlands, everything costs: and money is charged by time they take to do what u asked. Even reboots are not free. And if something happened after like 5 PM – tough luck, wait till tomorrow morning...

We finally had our Israeli audience show up – after a pro-Lebanon banner was put up on the main page. Good to finally meet the leechers, who I believe are on the 5th place on the by country visits list, but so far has kept very quiet... Thanks to our visitors and some of the staff who has supported me in keeping the banner up, even though some of the closest to me staff have protested. I still believe that what I did was right and I had full right to put that banner up, and if something like this happens again, I will do my small part in supporting the victims of an Israeli/Western aggression. But more about politics in a second.

Around Christmas I have fixed all the bugs on the staff and the public bug tracker and implemented a couple new features, and finally put RSS in a state where it can be actually relied on. I can confidently say that TVU has never been so perfect before. And oh yeah _ got changed to . in links...

MoTV apparently has beef with us for allowing some of their shares with less then five sources. Some members have even stopped sharing the releases... I do not understand how these people head works. Your release gets popular, so thats bad? Then why exactly are u even doing this? They also blamed us for not giving proper credit and butchering links. Excuse me, but how can you tell us anything about respecting the scene, when the only right word for you is “leakers”. We give credits where they belong – to the groups, not to leakers who managed to get dump site access, place the files in their shared folder and then post them on some l33t closed registration ed2k site. Grow up... Bucky even promised people friends slot for life if TVU goes down. No problem, guys, bring it on...

That's all I can remember. I am falling asleep but I still wanna mention events in the world quickly.

Lots of stuff of course, can't even mention a small part of it. But most important...
Lebanon – Israel war. All that I think, I believe I have said earlier. America like always supports Israel, EU keeps more or less quiet (except Blair, we know how much he likes to kiss monkey ass). But the interesting thing here is how Israel who is considered a very powerful nation, couldn't do shit against just a group, that doesn't have its own country, doesn't have an official army, budget, etc. They bombed so much. But almost none of their bombs have killed any Hisbollah guys. And, oh yeah, the kidnapped soldiers are still missing. Israel is good at defending itself, but is it that good at attacking others?

Next topic is Iran. Masters of wasting time. They went pretty much this whole year, with deadlines to stop nuclear research always missed, but so far no sanctions have been applied. Some people feared that US will go in, but me I never believed that. Iran is not Iraq (just like Iraq is not Serbia). And remember that Americans rely on shiats in Iraq. But what will shiats think of them if they attack Iran? Someone said that Israel will be the one to attack Iran. I think that's just stupid. If American is unlikely to win there, then Israel is even less likely, and this might start an Arab-Israel war again. No one wants that. All in all the Israeli president has top political qualities. I seriously hope that they will get nuclear weapons soon – there's no proper reason why they shouldn't, and may be they can keep Israel from bullying the whole region...

Talking about Iraq, things been going worse and worse there. The number of explosions is not decreasing, neither is the number of casualties. People are starting to use the term “civil war” much more then before. It's all too sad, instead of killing Americans, which would be much smarter (forgive me God) they are killing each other. I understand that Sunis are pissed at Shiats for supporting the invaders, but they are a majority in the country and they can't remember last time they've been in power, you can't really blame them. I guess I just dont understand the eastern mentality... If there were invaders in my country and a group of people supporting them, I would concentrate on the invaders first. But I guess its just me, or may be its just much harder...

What's been going on in mother Russia? Nothing really worth talking much about. Neo-nazis are still killing people, the government is still putting money in a jar instead of decreasing poverty, etc. Been a hard year for the Nation Bolshevik Party, first half constant beatings by the Kremlin-sponsored kids with baseball bats, huge jail sentences. Everything eased up a bit now, though now the government is trying to split the party into little parts. Yes, some people did leave. People that are too deep into their own personal extremism, who think that NBP shouldn't ally with liberals, that it should become more nationalist and consider a revolution as the only way coming to power. This people must have really small brains. The opposition has to unite. Right or left, brown or red. Thats the only way of having at least a chance to beat Putin. Thats a fact. What revolution? People are not ready for a revolution! Things are starting to become better and people are too tired of change. Plus Putin is ex-KGB, he won't play around. People will die if it keeps him in power. They blame Limonov (head on NBP) for kissing ass of liberals who live on US money. Yes, I myself hate liberals and their democratic bull, but can't you see this is the only way of getting into the Parliament? Noone is gonna register NBP as a party, even if it files all the documents right. But they will be forced to register a party where Kasparov and Kas'yanov are leaders. Don't worry, they won't dump Limonov, their little parties are nothing in compared to NBP, so is their experience in politics – Limonov will be controling this party, no matter who the official leader is...

Whoa its already 4 am... Let me finish up with this last sad (to me) account of this year. Two heroes of the past century have died in the arms of Western invaders. Slabodan Miloshevich – died “of natural causes” in prison, because they wouldn't let him go to Moscow to get treatment for his heart (or may be because they had nothing on him and wanted to accelerate his death). I hate our government for not supporting Serbia at that time, if we would've said one word, NATO would have never went in. Never. Second one is off course Saddam Hussein. Like Slabodan he kept his country together. Like Slabodan he had to use harsh methods. Like Slabodan he's now dead and his country is falling appart. God forgive me again, but I would really rather see Bush with a rope around his neck, for god knows he killed much more people then Saddam for much less noble reasons. But even in his last moments Saddam was a man. He refused to put a bag over his head. The execution was obviously rushed, Americans were obviously holding their balls till the moment he died. And they still should. Because people won't forget. They won't forgive. They will revenge.

Good luck and all the best wishes in the new year 2007 (year of the pig by Chinese calendar)

Che Guevara's Blog - Declaration of the National-Bolshevik Party

http://tvunderground.org.ru/forum/index.php?app=blog&blogid=3&showentry=8

Declaration of the National-Bolshevik Party

Murderers Are In The Kremlin!

Investigation of Anna Politkovskaya's murder has declared the main version: the journalist was murdered by former officers of the internal affairs department of Nizhnevartovsk Aleksandr Prilepin and Valeri Minin, who are on the international search list now. By her articles Politkovskaya managed to make convict their colleague Lapin ("a cadet") for his shooting down Chechnya residents, and the officers have allegedly revenged upon her.

We are sure, that the investigation is deliberately following in the false tracks, thought out beforehand .

The investigation is ignoring the version, lying on the surface. In September 2006 Anna Politkovskaya and director of the recently liquidated Russian-Chechen Friendship Society (RCFS) Stanislav Dmitriyevski started preparing the juridical basis for the International tribunal on war crimes and crimes against humanity in Chechnya.

Exactly in September they got financing for this work (see the interview with S. Dmitriyevski in the "Novaya Gazeta" #81, 2006).

Detention of a number of officials of the Russian Federation and Chechen Republic government, including the highest ones, as punishment could result from the International tribunal activity. They had the obvious motive to "order" the murder of Politkovskaya, since the preparation for the International tribunal work may be dragged out for many years or even stop with her death.

The Russian-Chechen Friendship Society, headed by Dmitriyevski, the second participant of the project, was closed with lightning speed, simultaneously with Politkovskaya's murder. On October 11th 2006 (four days after Politkovskaya's murder) Nizhni Novgorod regional Procecutor's Office registered a claim, and as soon as on October 15th the court liguidated the society.

The impartial investigation of Politkovskaya's murder demands Kadyrov, Putin, Patrushev, Ivanov and other officials, whom the International tribunal on war crimes and crimes against humanity in Chechnya could threaten, and consequently whom Politkovskaya's preparation for the tribunal activity threatened, to be interrogated.

The power intends to play for the West "impartial justice". The made up "murderers" will be found and punished.

The National-Bolshevik Party calls on the citizens of Russia and the world community not to believe this lie. The NBP will by all means strive for fair investigation of Anna Politkovskaya's murder.

Che Guevara's Blog - KDE 4 + Gentoo Diary Entry 1

http://tvunderground.org.ru/forum/index.php?app=blog&blogid=3&showentry=7

Well,
I've been compiling KDE 4 once a week for a while now and from this weekend I decided to start a "diary" that hopefully will be updated every week on how KDE 4 is shaping up. This is the first "entry"

2 September, 2006

Did svn update on qt-copy, kdelibs and kdebase and got buisy compiling. Doing so is really a breeze thanks to cmake. As suggested on KDE wiki I added this function log time ago to my bashrc
function cmakekde { cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$HOME/kde \
-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=debugfull $@ && make VERBOSE=1 && make install
}
So now I can compile every package with one command. I also unmasked the hard mask on dbus-0.9* (it works fine with kde 3 as well, after revdep-rebuild).
Everything was now compiled and it was time to start it up. So it wont interfere with my current kdm, I use startx to start it up. I did it long time ago, so I can't remember the details right now, but I just had to create a session file for kde4 and edit Xsession I think.
Upon start up I was greeted with the usual KDE wizard, no new options there for now. Then I remembered, how am I gonna take screen shots?! Could use imagemagick, but thats not cool So i checked out a copy of kdegraphics. Another dilemma: I don't want all of it! After a minute of thinking, I looked in CMakeLists.txt. Ah now we're talking! Commented out all the folder includes except ksnapshot. Run the magic function, all good and working. So here's the first one:

Now let's see what Konqueror looks like:

Exiting Konqueror I got this:

Seems kinit still has some problems...
What I really liked is the new proggy KAppFinder. It finds non-kde apps and creates menu entries for them:

Next I wanted to see what I can configure. Turns out nothing Screen shot is self explanatory:

Of course you'll be interested in Konsole:

There was another new app KMenuEditor I think, but it refused to start :(

Well thats it folks, see you next week.
