If I may, after 5 years emuling & 2 years torrenting (24/7), I have a few observations to make :
- Until every
Peer on the planet has owns a 100+ mbps internet, I don't think the role of the
emule community is at threat, I mean as the
final depository of pretty much everything that is available around, even when it has initially been released on other networks
- As one fond of rare or obscure TV files among other things, I've frequently been able to "resurrect" a dead file started on BT with the parts available on the same file on emule, be it dead or not, and vice-versa (...then made a few people happy in both communinities, as you can guess

)
- Considering BT's nature as of today (faster completion & shorter lifespan), it could easily fulfill a purpose very similar & complementary to the
non-mainpage forums (Request/Release Zone)
- As a matter of fact, and for that reason, I believe that TVU's architecture (MainPage + Request/Release/Chat forums) makes it one of the most likely to profitably integrate a BT "something", if it wishes so, and as Tripleplay, highspeed ADSL etc get democratized around the globe (too slowly

- I wouldn't be surprised if in the few years to come, most prominent P2P communities kept doors open to neighbouring
Oceans of Files, as debits rise
- In the mean time, non-BT TVUers (personal inclination, connection limitations etc) would still benefit from the input of
Dual-User members, especially for elusive files
- Objectively, BT could save the hassle some experience with
RS or
MU links (Premiums unavailable in many countries, for varied reasons

).
- Let's not forget there's a whole "Third World" out there, and that they're coming to
P2P, big time
- Ratios : I suppose a TVU tracker would be private, with an adequate ratio policy, so I don't think BT activities could deface the emule "soul" of this forum (Releasers and benevolent minds excepted, most ratios on emule are way far from 1:1

)
