High Chaparall is a Swedish TV-show.
Taking a camera-team to America, Filip and Fredrik filmed a series of interviews with minor celebrities and has-beens such as Fabio Lanzoni, Robert Englund, Ron Jeremy, Tonya Harding, Uri Geller, and Gary Busey. Rather than just sit down and talk, they also followed the stars around, sometimes for several days, and engaged themselves in various activities. The show was picked up for a second, third and fourth season and was also released on DVD.
The name High Chaparall is misspelled on purpose compared to High Chaparral. The signature melody for the show is the song I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by Scottish band The Proclaimers.
In 2005, a version of the show's format was used for a meeting with former Swedish prime-minister Ingvar Carlsson.
