Site/Client
Q: What is this site?
A: This site has a vast database of TV episode links (DVD, VHS or TV sourced) that are submitted by the general user (such as yourself).
Q: So you host all the files on the site?
A: No, the cost of a server that big would be a little much and due to the obvious legalities we wouldn't want to anyway.
---->Q: How can I download the files then?<----
A: You need an ed2k client such as eMule (open source, and most popular basic client), eDonkey (founding father of ed2k, now officially shutdown - if you search the internet you can probably get it to work again, but it's not recommended), or Shareaza (not recommended).
For linux you may use aMule or mlDonkey (not recomended)
Q: Okay, I've downloaded and installed a client... what about the files?
A: You should simply be able to click the links you want and they'll add to your client.
Q: I get an error (404 or similar) from my browser or the file just won't add to my client when I click a link.
A: Go in to your client's options and find the option "Take ed2k links" (or similar) and check or push the button. Also, it's recommended that you browse the site using Firefox. If that fails go HERE for further help.
Q: I've added a link and it's in my client, but other than that nothing's happening.
A: Make sure you've let the client through your firewall or router. If the progress bar remains red, or you have 0 sources for a file make sure your client is connected. If it IS connected come to the forum and ask for a reshare in the "Request" section of the forum.
Q: How do I speed up my downloads?
A: There is no true, real way to speed it up, but to optimize your client please go to its official site and read any documentation there.
Q: Which server is the best one to connect to?
A: None are best, or rather all of them are best. Basically it doesn't matter, your client searches all the servers for the files anyway. But of course we are fond of our eD2K server.

Using the Main Page
Q: I can't find a show on the main page, why not?
A: We don't have EVERY show ever created. We rely on users to submit links, and not every show has been capped. Also make sure you spell the show correctly if you use the search form. Alternatively if the show is, for example, "The 4400" in the database it's recorded as "4400, The". Ultimately it's easier to search without the leading "The". Also be sure to check for different versions of the show title....just cause you call it one name doesn't mean we have it listed as that.
Q: Why hasn't show <X> been updated in a while?
A: The show may not have aired. To check this either visit the show's official site or EPisodeworld or TV.com or epguides.com to check air dates. If the episode has aired and isn't added to the main page in a few days then request it on the forum.
Q: How do I submit files to the main page?
A: This is answered on the main page itself: "How to Submit"
Q: I submitted files to the main page but they haven't shown up yet, how come?
A: They don't automatically appear on the main page, they need processing by the staff which takes time. If a file doesn't meet the minimum requirements outlined on the "Submit Links" page, and especially if it does not have at least 5 full sources, then the file will be rejected.
Q: Where can I find help on profile settings?
A: HERE
Other
Q: What does [Insert Term Here] mean?
A: We have a "Glossary of Video & Piracy Terms" to help you with that. Additionally we have an Episode Type Guide.
Q: I have downloaded a torrent that contains multiple archives, what do I do with them?
A: Please refer to THIS THREAD for help.
Q: What do I do if a file won't play?
A: More then likely it's a codec issue....please read "General Video Playing Help" for codec help. If all your codecs are working and it still won't play there's a slight chance your download could be corrupt. So first compare and make sure you have the same file hash as TVU and if not either try downloading the file again or ask for confirmation of your problem.
Q: How do I post ed2k links on the forum?
A: Please read "Using The Release Section Of The Forum" thread.
Q: There's a mistake in the information of a show on the main page! How do I get it fixed?
A: Post the error in the mainpage reporting system. More information can be found HERE.
Q: What about if I spot a more generalized code bug?
A: If there are any coding errors then post them in the "This" section of the forum.
Q: Do you have a IRC channel?
A: Indeed we do. Check "Chat" for info on our sever and channels.
Q: I have a question which isn't answered here!!
A: Well, this is only a simple FAQ, for more specific questions please post in the "Help & Support" section of the forum.
