Setting up emule For an little safer use and better speed
Get Emule Morph mod 10.4 (or newer) http://emulemorph.sourceforge.net/
morph has an Auto IPfilter updater that is norm update offen when turnd on (Off by default but should be turnd on)
Options > Mod Options > Morph update Tick update on start up on IPfilter

you can past that into the securty box in options > Security > paste > load
now sort it via Soft limit and any servers below 500 set them to Low and all the others at 500 or higher set them to med set the ones you want emule to connect to all the time set to high (if it cant connect to high it try an connect to one of the med ones) NOTE If the server HAS NO soft limit Set them to LOW as thay are fake servers and will not Index any of your shares
Options > General Options > connection >
1. Set Cap upload speed (80%) CLICK Apply then set upload Limit (THIS IS in KB Not kb so 1mb is 128KB download upload is norm 20KB(256kb) but you should check your ISP upload limit)
2. Tick auto connect on start up < this is important to get emule working as soon as you start emule and means you do not have to connect it your self (Very Important you tick this if you LOW ID as it takes an little longer to get an LOW ID/firewalled emule starting)
3. make sure KAD and Ed2k is ticked
Options > Mod Options > Credit system > Pick lovelace
Options > Mod Options > Morph update Tick update on start up on IPfilter

Whats KAD, Kad Is an Server less client it uses p2p based system so you cant just take out one point like you can on the server side
in emule KAD will most likey replace servers sooner or later But if you LOW ID/Firewalled (Server/KAD) you Must still connect to servers for the time been as its not perfect yet but if your clicking on links from web sites TVRU this it does not matter as emule Uses XS to get Alot more sources that the server and KAD can not give you (read down)
High ID/Open (Server/KAD) users does not matter as your able to receve connectons so downlaods and uploadss will start alot faster

if your downloading its not realy an problem emule will use KAD as well ask's each server if you have less then 100 sources after that it turns to XS
make sure KAD is turnd on if KAD is firewalled it does not Mean it does not work just means your behind an router or an firewall thats blocking Incomming connections downloads and uploads will still work perfectly fine (if your shareing Only not downloading at that time uploads will take an little longer to start up but if you can get an ed2k server connected it work norm)
