API for requesting file details based on hash

Would it be possible to get some web api where I send an ed2k hash (e.g. as parameter in an URL) and get back whatever information the database has about that file? Doesn't really matter to me if it's XML or some other format as long as it's something that's reasonable structured that I can parse it apart.
e.g. http://tvunderground...il.php?hash=...
could return a list of fieldname=value pairs with each one in a new line.
I would like to write myself a small program that goes through my files (the overwhelming majority downloaded through links from TVU), verifies that they are still ok (if a match is found for their hash) and if yes renames/sorts them based on correct series name, first year, season/episode number, episode name, language, quality.
